Notes: According to a study by the WHO, Belarus headed the list of top 10 alcohol consuming countries in 2014. The heavy-drinking Belarusians knocked back an heroic 17.5 litres per person per year. Ypa! Figures are derived on a per capita basis and measured by consumption in litres of absolute (or pure) alcohol. The top ten is made up of continental European countries. We also have data for the same study by the WHO done in 1999 here.
