Notes: Internet Explorer was by far the most used browser in Europe, but has been losing overall share rapidly since 2005 to the Firefox collaborative project / open-source browser. Between July 2 and 8, 2007, the average visit share of a European country for Internet Explorer was 66.5% whereas it had been 73.3% one year earlier (July 3 to 9, 2006). Opera came in third, with a share of 3.5% followed by Safari at 1.7%. No other browser broke the 1% market share level.
