Base: Survey of 26,000 Internet users globally in 47 countries and 15 times zones.
Notes: Canadians spent more than C$5 billion online during 2007. A significant proportion of that went to online retailers outside Canada who are more aggressive with pricing, discounts and shipping offers.
According to Nielsen, 38 per cent of Americans (USA) and 41 per cent globally, bought a book online in the last three months. For Videos/DVD's/Games: Americans (USA) 31 per cent, global 24 per cent.
